So this was date night and that always makes me a bit more relaxed, however I do have fairly high expectations because when I am without kids I want the meal to be great. Terzo delivered.
It is a bit of a confusing entrance especially on a busy Saturday night, but luckily a nice gentleman pointed me in the directions of the hostess stand and we were seated quickly.
Everything I had was wonderful, the tart was a piece of spring in each bite. The soup was a bit spicy, but it worked perfectly. The sea scallops were perfectly done. This was one of the places where there were lots of components on the plate and they were meant to be eaten together. Sometimes there are lots of components, but they don't work together. This was not the case here.
The dessert was not necessary in that I truly did not need it with three courses before, but everything was so good I wanted to try it. Yum, almost the hightlight of the meal.
I would go back on any date night, but not with kids for some time, which I think is the way it is designed.

We enjoyed Terzo without our darling children, which is fortunate because Terzo (a) has wonderful wine, (b) is a slower meal, and (c) does not have a kid's menu (see sardines below). We opted for the three course prezzo fisso, a fixed price meal with one choice from antipasti, primi, and second. For the prezzo fizzo option, the restaurant just asks for an all or none approach at the table. The three course meal was quite a bit of food, but we tried more than we otherwise would have had.
I really liked the sardine antipasti. It's not something that I would order very often, but it was well done with crimini mushrooms, olives, walnuts, braised leeks, and sprigs of parsley. The olives, walnuts, and mushrooms held up to the oily fish, and the leeks paired well. Even though it was excellent as it was, I thought that it could be worth trying by adding a few small spinach leaves.
The cannelloni was not as good as I wanted it to be. The kale sprouts were tasty, but the pheasant chestnut filling was nondescript. The truffle demi-glace was also very subtle and did not take the dish in any noticeable direction. It was all still good, but I would order something else next time.
The flatiron steak was outstanding. It was closer to rare than medium rare, but that helped maintain the tremendous flavor. I loved the potato millefoglie, which was thinly sliced, fried potato that tasted like really good french fries. The creamed chard and barbera demi brought everything together.
I also enjoyed the chocolate bomba, which was very rich chocolate and pineapple combination. I could have done without dessert after the three course meal, but it was a nice finish to a great meal.
Service was excellent, and our server provided some excellent wine suggestions. Parking is offered in a lot next to the building, and street parking is also available. Terzo is another Broder's hit.
