Ingredients is in a strip mall in White Bear Lake, they have done a great job making it seem not like a strip mall on the inside.
They had a nice range of dishes, something for everyone and everything we had was good, I would venture to say the dessert was excellent and if you factor in the price is was outstanding.
I would not hesitate to go back if I was in the neighborhood, but I would not drive across town to go there.

Ingredients is a good restaurant, one worth going to if you live within five miles or so. Otherwise, it's not worth the drive across town.
I was impressed with the crab cakes, especially for the price. But, paraphrasing George W. Bush in describing General Motors, the three pickle aioli needs to be replaced with something relevant. I was also impressed with the homemade butternut ravioli; the flavors were absolutely fantastic. However, there was too much bacon and too much soupy sauce for it to be great. Nevertheless, this would be a good Fall dish. The chocolate cake was dense and rich, and it was big enough to share. The caramel and walnuts were over the top, like most of Ingredients.
Final note: the restaurant is very noisy. It's difficult to hold a conversation between two people, let alone a larger group. To add to the noise level, they frequently have bands. The night we were there, a band started at 7:30 p.m. The band was good, but the extra commotion made it that much more difficult to enjoy the restaurant. If it's a nice night, you should consider outdoor seating.
