Would we go back:
849 University Ave
• Bi Cuon Juhon Pork Spring Rolls $3.25 (shared)
• Mi Xa Xiu Egg noodles soup with barbecue pork $5.45
This place is a newly decorated building, I am not sure if it was existing or newly built, but everything is bright and shiny inside.
The food was very good the spring rolls exactly as they should be clean crisp and tasty. The soup was very good as well, it was just a hair greasy for me, but I think that made it taste all the better in the end.
If you are in the area it is a great choice for a meal
• Bun Cha Ha Noi Vermicelli noodles with barbecue pork $6.95
We were originally going to a restaurant across University Avenue, but it closed just as we arrived. The owner recommended we go to Que Nha. Whereas the first place was a low overhead location, Que Nha is new, clean, bright, and engaging.
I was very happy with the food and prices at Que Nha as well. The Juhon pork spring rolls had a marinated pork that was delicious. Likewise, the barbecue pork was very good, and the meat serving was generous. Spices and flavors in both courses were right on.
While not expensive enough to impress a first date, this might be a good second or third date choice. You can test your date's gastronomical curiosity and determine if your date is high maintenance (just make sure you don't go to the discount theater afterward so you don't come across as a complete cheapskate).
