     •     Chicken Constance with Sweet Potato Fries $12.99

We went to the old location back in 2005 when it was first opened. They have been in their new and improved location for at least a couple of years now. But since we have two kids getting to the new spots even in the neighborhood becomes harder and harder. To add insult to injury upon reading Steve's old review I found we were on our way to a Lenny Kravitz concert with an opening act of Nikka Costa on a WEDNESDAY night, aww to be child free again. Moving forward, the new space it quite nice, I have been there for a cup of coffee a few times, they really do have the best coffee drinks. Their food is still good my sandwich was well above average. Our children loved their mac and cheese and the red velvet cake for dessert. I am sure I will be back again even if it is just for a cup of coffee, perhaps lunch with the kids since we know they have good mac and cheese, but probably not again before a concert on a Wednesday night!

     •     Fish and Chips $14.79

I was happy with the Wilde Roast's fish and chips, but it was not your normal pub fish and chips. The fish was tilapia, which was tortilla-crusted instead of battered. All in all, a good piece of fish and very nicely done. The chips were the house fries, which were very basic, albeit a large portion. I would opt for the kettle chips or sweet potato fries over the house fries.

Wilde Roast Cafe appears to have continued its juggernaut in the new location, which is good to see because Riverplace is a tough location to make work. I was surprised that the restaurant was already busy at 5:30 p.m., even on a snowy, cold Saturday night.

Service was excellent -- very attentive and personable staff. Parking is on the street or up the hill, and parking can be more difficult in summer. But then again, parking a little further away in summer might be worth it to take advantage of their patio seating.
